About AIIMS, Bathinda Punjab
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bathinda, is a government tertiary healthcare and medical education institution established by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY). The institute became fully operational in 2019. Its academic programmes include MBBS, MD/MS, MDS, super-specialty courses, nursing, allied health programmes and PhD research. The institute provides undergraduate and postgraduate medical education supported by modern classrooms, laboratories and clinical training facilities. Its hospital has 960 beds, outpatient and inpatient services, a dedicated trauma and emergency wing, and specialised clinical departments. AIIMS Bathinda also promotes medical research and aims to strengthen specialist healthcare services for Punjab's Malwa region and neighbouring areas.
