About Government Medical College, Omandurar
Government Medical College and Hospital, Omandurar, Chennai, was established in 2015 by the Government of Tamil Nadu. The college initially functioned from the Institute of Social Obstetrics and Kasturba Gandhi Hospital for Women and Children campus in Chepauk and moved to the B Block of Omandurar Government Estate in 2019. It is affiliated with The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University and provides undergraduate medical education.
