About Patna Medical College & Hospital, Patna
Patna Medical College traces its history to Temple Medical School, established in 1874. In 1925, Prince of Wales Medical College was formally inaugurated in Patna, and it later became Patna Medical College. The institution is administered by the Government of Bihar and provides undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. Its attached hospital supports clinical teaching, specialist care and practical training across medical disciplines. The college has a long history of postgraduate teaching and remains part of Bihar's public healthcare and medical education network.
