About T.D.Medical College, Allappuzha
T.D. Medical College, Alappuzha, began in 1963 under the patronage of the Thirumala Devaswom temple. Its first MBBS classes started in August 1963 with 50 students. The Government of Kerala took over management in 1967, and the institution became a government medical college in 1972. It is located at Vandanam, south of Alappuzha town, and provides undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. Its teaching hospital supports supervised clinical training and patient care.
